With a friendly rivalry between the high schools, there is a divided “north” side and “south” side that creates an overall strong and close-knit community. Downers Grove also boasts a very strong park district with endless options for all ages for camps, sports, classes, etc., as well as an 18-hole Downers Grove Golf Club. You'll also find tons of parks and forest preserves with gorgeous trails for hiking, biking, exploring, site seeing, etc. Patriots Park, Hummer Park and McCollum Park are all nearby, with basketball courts, batting cages, an outdoor gym, playground, tennis courts, and more!
