River West

River West is an attractive and exciting community that spans an area just immediately west and north of the Loop. Its convenience for neighborhood commuters and those who love Chicago's urban lifestyle is vital to River West residents. River West was typically considered an industrial area of Chicago until its development using adaptive reuse for loft-style apartments and condos, plus new construction of beautiful single-family homes. River West is now an area of great residential offerings mixed with retail, restaurants, and small manufacturing businesses.  River West has something to offer everyone. Dining in the heart of River West could include anything from small locally-owned bakeries like Aya Pastry and ethnic grocery stores selling their own food to the public while simultaneously supplying some of downtown Chicago's finest restaurants, or to small diners and delis, to upscale fine dining.   River West’s foodie corner at the intersection of Milwaukee, Halstead and Grand you'll find La Scarola and Piccolo Sogno, two of the best Italian restaurants in the city!  The nightlife is always a fun adventure with numerous fun taverns and bars nearby. This community is also home to art galleries throughout the neighborhood as well as yoga and fitness studios to help residents stay in shape for an active city lifestyle.

Not only is River West a great location itself, but it is also conveniently located to get to the loop and centrally located within Chicago's great neighborhoods.  If you’re an urban biker, you’ll be glad to know River West is one of the most bike-friendly of them all.  Milwaukee Ave aka “hipster highway” cuts directly through the neighborhood, connecting you up to The 606 and down to West Loop. As a busy main artery it has the most well-protected bike lanes in the city.  With easy access to the highway as well as bus and el train transportation, River West makes it easy to explore the city or get out to the suburbs. River West offers everything one could need for a fun and productive lifestyle within the city of Chicago.
